Whats Next....

When its time to join up, membership of Melbourne Outrigger Canoe Club (MOCC) requires two components:

1. AOCRA (Australian Outrigger Canoe Racing Association) membership. The AOCRA membership fee is $70 for Adults or $45 for Juniors.
2. Our Club membership, Our membership fee is $230-Adult, $45-Junior or $450-Family, and is due the first week of September each year.

** NOTE: If you join throughout the year, we utilise a Pro-Rata system to calculate the amount due at the time of joining.

You will need to complete both before you are fully joined. Membership for both is due annually.

PART 1: AOCRA MEMBERSHIP

AOCRA - New Member Registration

These instructions are for New Paddlers only - Once you have completed your 'Come & Try' Free sessions.

1. Go to the AOCRA website at https://aocra.com.au/member-registration.php
2. For Zone, select: SOUTHERN STATES
3. For Club, select: Melbourne Outrigger Canoe Club
4. Fill in all the remaining details on the screen which are used for the AOCRA member database and insurance.
5. Follow the prompts to make the payment of $70 (per Adult) or $45 (per Junior) to AOCRA on your credit card. This will join you for 12 months from the date we receive your club membership.

You will receive a tax invoice via email, and your member ID and password for login to AOCRA. Use your member ID and password to update your details during the year if they change. A notification is also sent to our Club Registrar / Treasurer for verification. Proceed to Part 2 - MOCC Membership section to complete your club membership.

Please contact our club Treasurer or Registrar if you have any problems with this process.

AOCRA - Membership Renewal

These instructions are for existing members / paddlers to renew your AOCRA membership.

1. AOCRA will send an email notification to your registered email address, approx 2-3 weeks before it is due to be renewed.
2. Go to the AOCRA website at https://aocra.com.au/renew-my-membership.php
3. Enter your "AOCRA ID" and "Password", then click on "Submit" button to continue..
4. Follow the prompts to make the payment of $70 (per Adult) or $45 (per Junior) to AOCRA on your credit card.

You will receive a tax invoice via email, and a notification is forwarded to our Registrar / Treasurer notifying us that payment was made.

Please contact our club Treasurer or Registrar if you have any problems with this process.

PART 2: MOCC MEMBERSHIP

When signing up via the register button below, as part of the process you will be presented with a link to view our Member Information pack. This Member Information Pack contains an overview of the sport and our club. It is required you have read and understand the conditions outlined and by becoming a member you acknowledge / accept the information contained within the ‘Member Information’ and agree to abide by the rules and concepts described in sections:

• Section 1. VALUES AND EXPECTATIONS (pages 6-8)  
• Section 2. USING CLUB EQUIPMENT (pages 23-27)
• Section 2. CREW SELECTION CRITERIA (pages 28-31).

MOCC - New Membership Registration

If you decide to join up directly and want to skip the Come & Try / Introduction sessions. Use these steps to join our club;

1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the New Member tile to start your registration process.
2. Fill out the required fields (NOTE: All fields with an asterisk '*' character are required fields), then click on Next Step to continue.
3. At the Select Membership page, on the Full Membership tile, click on Select this membership button.
4. At the Select Membership Type page, based on your age, you will be presented the option to select either Adult, Junior or family pro-rata membership. Then click Next Step to continue.
5. At the Purchase Summary page, confirming the pro rata cost and then click on Next Step to continue.
6. At the Personal Details page, fill in the remaining required '*' fields, then click on Next Step to continue.
   1. NOTE: You will need your New AOCRA ID & Expiry Date details.
7. At the Terms of Registration page, review the terms & our Member information pack (download option available) and agree before clicking on Next Step to complete.

Your registration is then submitted for approval. Once payment received and reconciled, your membership is approved, you will receive an email confirmation with your login details.

MOCC - Upgrade Your Club Membership From Come & Try

At the end of your Come & Try Program, you are required to join the club to continue paddling. Use these steps to join our club or if you are renewing your membership.

1. Contact the Secretary and Treasurer via the WhatsApp group or email that you want to join the club.
2. The Treasurer will email your invoice, including the Come & Try fee deducted already deducted from the invoice.
3. As per the invoice generated, pay your outstanding MOCC Membership fee via EFT/Bank Transfer.
   1. Make sure to include your Name & Invoice Reference Number in the description/message field
4. Email the Treasurer & Secretary when done. They will reconcile payement and update membership profile in the background.
