About

The Melbourne Outrigger Canoe Club (MOCC) was formed in 2003 to foster the growth in the traditional ocean-based Polynesian sport of outrigger canoeing. After trying various locations around the city/bay, we eventually landed in Docklands and have called it our home for the last 15 years.

Outrigging is a great team and individual sport. We paddle various types of outrigger canies, from single person (OC1 and V1), double's (OC2), three person (V3) and 6 person (OC6) craft.

It's a perfect sport for cross discipline fitness, helping to build balanced upper body strength, and marathon and sprint racing is perfect for building and maintaining solid conditioning.
